Conceived as a cluster of individual pavilions for coastal living, this home bends gently to conform to its tidal marsh shoreline setting.  Programmed as a rather large home, the buildings mass is broken into smaller architectural elements or “cottage-scaled” pods, linked together through a central Art Gallery or Grand Hall, acting as the “spine-of-circulation” for this home, organizing the public and private spaces grouped around the owner’s extensive collection of Early American folk art and needlepoint.

This unique home is anchored by a free standing Carriage Guest House on one end of the compound and a Spa Conservatory on the other.  A modern lifestyle coupled with the flow of an open floor plan contrasts the traditional architectural styling of this “craftsman,” shingle-style home.
